#90 A Wanderers Prelude

There was this one night, I musta been seventeen as I had moved outta home but was still at school.

Me and Mike L. were living in this hut in the abandoned part of the train yard.

I was walking home from school. I often stayed late for baseball as it was the only time I could get a shower.

It was raining and there was a full moon.

The falling rain looked like tiny droplets of liquid mercury.

The wet railway tracks that I walked along looked like a glistening silver road, that led to my future.
