#63 The Professor and the Monk

Professor Hall had spent his career studying the forces that underlie the nature of the universe itself.

Now, in his seventh decade, he was world renowned, yet was famed for his modesty and humility.

One day a great monk and teacher from Tibet came to the university at the invitation of the Dean.

Professor Hall asked if he could meet the monk and so when the day came, the professor was led to the monk’s chamber.

The monk stood and looked at him.

The Professor looked back.

Then, they both simultaneously smiled, shook hands and the Professor turned and left.
